Matthew T. Lawson

Co-Owner and Managing Partner

Prior to co-founding Lawson Winchester Wealth Management, Matt spent three years working as a Financial Advisor in the Wealth and Investment Management Divisions for Super Regional Banks. In this role he developed strategies for individuals and business clients — both small and mid-size — designed to achieve their most important goals. Before joining the super regionals Matt managed investment portfolios at Merrill Lynch Global Private Client Group, where he worked with high net worth individuals and businesses for seven years.

Matt graduated from the University of Tennessee College Of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree, concentration Finance. He earned his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation. This designation primarily focuses on pre-retirement and post-retirement planning along with asset management.

Matt's hobbies are reading and golf.

William F. Winchester III

Co-Owner and Managing Partner

Before forming Lawson Winchester Wealth Management with Matt Lawson, Bill Winchester had spent the previous four years working for a Super Regional Bank in their Wealth and Investment Management division. Bill has been working in the financial services industry since 2000 and in the Wealth Management field since 2001. The bulk of Bill's time was spent developing relationships with clients and implementing and executing wealth management strategies to fit their very personalized needs.

Bill matriculated from the Baylor School in Chattanooga and completed his Bachelor of Science, concentration in Finance, at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He earned his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation and is currently a candidate for his Certified Wealth Preservation Planner (CWPP) and Certified Asset Protection Planner (CAPP) designations. Bill has been very active in the Chattanooga soccer community as both a coach and player. He and his wife, along with their two daughters, attend Ridgedale Baptist Church where Bill serves as a deacon.
